Welcome to CATS Playhouse

A Theater for All to Enjoy

CATS began in 1994 as a touring children's theater troupe performing original children's shows. In 1998 they found a home on historic 34th street in Lubbock where they became a nonprofit and flourished under the care of president and founder Tim McIntire. In 2011 CATS moved down the street on 34th to their current home. The theater continues to thrive by encouraging community participation by actors of all experience levels and ages.

Client 5

Sybil B. Harrington Endowment for the Arts

Sybil B. Harrington Endowment for the Arts supports the ongoing artistic and cultural efforts of organizations, both large and small, as well as new and unique arts initiatives in Lubbock and Hale counties. The grant from Sybil B. Harrington Endowment for the Arts supports our children's theater program and our ongoing workshops to help develop actors and technicians in theater.

Client 6

Tim and Diane McIntire

The McIntires helped create and guide CATS Playhouse for many years, and have donated our current building to keep theater alive. CATS Playhouse would not look the same if it weren't for the support of McIntires.
